Everything in the console happens inside a company — your Content Owner or Content Seller account, not your personal login. This page covers getting colleagues into that company with the right level of access. Role-specific setup — verification, finance features, catalog, and partnerships — lives in your Start here guide.
Who needs this#
Whoever signs up first, and anyone adding teammates later.
TL;DR#
- Work happens inside a company, not a personal account. You can belong to more than one company and switch between them.
- Each company is either a Content Owner or a Content Seller. If your business operates on both sides, use separate company profiles for each role.
- Invite teammates from Settings → Team. Each person can hold one or more roles that control what they can see and do.
- Give people the narrowest access that lets them do their job — you can always widen it later.
- Complete company verification before you expect finance features or partner workflows to unlock fully.
Set up your company#
If you are the first person from your business in the console, you will go through a short company setup before the rest unlocks. The essentials are the same on both sides:
- Settings → Company Info — your company's name and basic details.
- Settings → Verification — identity and business verification. Some actions stay locked until this is complete.
- Settings → Public Profile — how your company appears to partners in the network. Partners often see this before agreeing to work with you.
What comes next depends on your company type. Follow your Start here guide for verification, finance features, catalog, and partnership steps in the right order — those pages are written for your side of the business and go deeper than this shared overview.
Invite your team#
- Go to Settings → Team.
- Select Invite, and enter the person's email address.
- Choose one or more roles for them (see below).
- They will get an email invitation. Once they accept, they show up in your team list.
Roles and permissions#
Every teammate holds one or more roles that together decide what parts of the console they can see and what actions they can take — for example, whether they can view finance features, manage inventory, or only look around without changing anything.
- Manage roles from Settings → Roles.
- When inviting someone, pick the role or combination that matches their actual job. Someone doing finance reconciliation does not need permission to edit your catalog, and someone managing inventory does not need access to every finance screen.
- You can change a person's roles at any time from Settings → Team — access updates immediately.
Switching between companies#
If you are part of more than one company — for example, you consult for two different studios, or your business has separate Content Owner and Content Seller profiles — you can switch between them without logging out. Look for the company switcher in the console header; whichever company you are currently viewing determines what catalog, inventory, and finance data you see.
You are ready when…#
Your company profile and verification are in good shape, the right teammates are invited with sensible roles, and you have opened your role-specific Start here guide for the steps that come next.
Common problems#
"I invited someone but they can't see anything." Check their roles under Settings → Team — an invite with no meaningful permissions attached will leave someone able to log in but not do much.
"I can't access finance features or verification-gated screens." Check Settings → Verification — some features stay locked until company verification is complete.
"I'm in the wrong company's view." Use the company switcher in the header rather than logging out and back in.
